Our Philosophy

Bustle & Twine specializes in documentary wedding photography - telling the story of your day through all the beautiful details, unexpected surprises, and candid emotions as they unfold. We strive to capture every moment of your day while keeping a low profile.

Our team is comprised of award-winning professional photojournalists and portrait photographers, and while we were founded in 2014, all of our founding members have been documenting weddings for over 10 years now.

The Founders

James Hall

"They say pictures speak a thousand words...  James' photos not only speak words, but they tell a story.  I was a bride who didn't like my picture being taken and James made me feel so comfortable that at times I forgot the camera was snapping away before me. We were truly blown away by his enthusiasm, sense of humor and professionalism. We have received many complements not only about his ability to capture special moments, but his down to earth and fun personality." - Haleh & Siavash

Lisa Chamberlin

"Lisa was so sweet and organized - our bridesmaids and groomsmen loved her - and also struck the perfect balance of getting a lot of good shots but always seeming to be out of the way." - Katie & Farzad

"From the first email to receiving our photos everything was beyond amazing. Truly the best in the business and the quality, creativity and finished products were amazing, they captured everything we could ask for and more. We will cherish the memories they created for a lifetime!" - Erica & Sean

Michelle Le

"Michelle was the lead photographer for our wedding and she did an OUTSTANDING job! She communicates well, takes excellent photos, is kind, respectful, and easy to work with. We didn't have a wedding planner and it felt like Michelle filled that role as she gave clear directions and made everything stress free! I highly recommend Bustle and Twine for anyone seeking an event and/or wedding photographer!" - Teddi & Kit
