Strike A Pose

Some couples are very comfortable in front of the camera while others are more timid and nervous and need a little direction. We don’t love to physically place you and tell you exactly where your pinky finger should be because that takes away all the natural emotions from the photo. Instead we like to give you different “commands” to help you be playful and maybe forget that the cameras are there. Here are a few of our go to “commands”.

Whisper Sweet Nothings!

With this pose most of the time we have the groom behind the bride focus on her and whisper sweet nothings in her ear. Lots of times this pose gets great giggles and loving kisses. Sometimes we take it a step farther and even have the groom start from further behind and have him walk up and surprise his bride when she’s not expecting it and it brings even more laughs.

Lead your Partner

This pose usually looks nice when crossing a road or in front of a beautiful landscape that you want to show off in the photo. The person that is doing the leading needs to be on the inside and so that when they are looking back at their partner they are exposing themselves to the camera instead of hiding.

Give her a spin!

We shout this one a lot right after a first look if the couple looks nervous. It helps them to focus on one another and it looks great for a photo! We also will just ask couples to dance or practice a few of their first dance steps.

The Arm Wrap + Bouquet

Now this one a lot of the time we have to help the couple get into position because it’s confusing with the bouquet. We like to pose the couple with the brides arms around her grooms neck while still holding her bouquet. It helps bring the couples in closer to each other making them look at one another and it shows off the bouquet nicely!

Just Walk & Talk!

This is usually our first move when we see a couple that needs our help. Nothing easier then just going for a walk with your partner and having a chat. We usually start them far away for the first go so they feel like they have privacy and by the time they are closer to us they are in their grove and in the middle of a great conversation with lots of wonderful smiles!

Make a Move!

If we have a wall or a tree that we are working with we will pose the bride against it and tell the groom to make his best move on her! We usually get lots of uncomfortable laughs on this but once they get into it we can get some very nice romantic shots!
